Approve the material revision of the charter for Invictus Leadership Academy (“Charter School”), a Start-Up Independent charter school, to add an additional site within the community, as defined in the LAUSD Policy and Procedures for Charter Schools. The proposed facility is located at 1755 W. 52nd Street, Los Angeles, CA, 90062, in Board District 1 and Region South. The recommendation for approval is based on the information set forth in the attached Staff Assessment and Recommendation Report.

Background:
Invictus Leadership Academy is a TK-8 school currently serving 204 students on a private facility at 4928 S. Western Ave., Los Angeles, CA, 90047, in Board District 1 and Region South. Invictus Leadership Academy was approved by the LAUSD Board of Education on October 15, 2019.
On August 7, 2026, Invictus Leadership Academy submitted its material revision application to the Charter Schools Division. Invictus Leadership Academy seeks to revise its operative charter, which expires June 30, 2028. The 90-day statutory timeline for Board action on this material revision runs through November 5, 2026. Pursuant to Education Code section 47605(b), the District and petitioners have mutually agreed to extend the timeline for Board action on this material revision to November 17, 2026.
An initial Public Hearing was held on September 15, 2026.
