Approve the renewal petition for Alliance Susan and Eric Smidt Technology High (“Charter School”), a Start-Up Independent charter school, with a benchmark in the area of academics (English Learner Progress Indicator), located in Board District 2 and Region East, for a term of five (5) years, beginning July 1, 2027, until June 30, 2032, to serve up to 600 students in grades 9-12 in each year of the charter term. The recommendation for approval is based on the information set forth in the attached Staff Assessment and Recommendation Report.

Alliance Susan and Eric Smidt Technology High is a 9-12 high school currently serving 247 students on a private facility at 211 South Avenue 20, Los Angeles, CA 90031in Board District 2 and Region East. Alliance Susan and Eric Smidt Technology High was originally approved by the LAUSD Board of Education on October 20, 2009. On November 24, 2020, the charter school was renewed for a five-year term to serve 600 students in grades 9-12.
