(Amendment to the Approval of the Certification of Signatures for Fiscal Year 2026-27) Recommends authorizing individuals to execute warrants, payroll wire transfers, and payment vouchers on behalf of the Governing Board and authorizes the submission of the updated Certification of Signatures to the Los Angeles County Office of Education. This amendment adds Deputy Controller Victoria Reyes as an authorized signatory. Currently, Deputy Controller Tim Rosnick is the single backup for processing vendor payments, leaving no coverage if he is unavailable. Adding Deputy Controller Victoria Reyes as a second backup will help ensure vendor payments are processed on time.

Recommendation
Action Proposed:
Approval to amend the Fiscal Year 2026–27 Certification of Signatures as Follows:
Obtain and submit an updated Certification of Signatures to the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), as required by Section 42633 of the California Education Code (Attachment A).
Authorize, in the absence of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the addition of Victoria Reyes, Deputy Controller, to sign on behalf of the Governing Board all orders (warrants/checks) drawn on the funds of the Los Angeles Unified School District and to execute such orders.

The Certification of Signatures identifies the members of the Governing Board and District employees authorized to sign warrants (checks). On June 12, 2026, the Board of Education approved the certification of signatures for Fiscal Year 2026-27 (Board Report No. 455-25/26).
