Approve the renewal petition for CATCH Prep Charter High, Inc. ("Charter School"), a Start-Up Independent charter school, located in Board District 1 and Region South, for five (5) years, beginning July 1, 2026 until June 30, 2031, to serve up to 300 students in grades 9-12 in each year of the charter term. The school is requesting to decrease enrollment from 600 to 300 to align with the school's enrollment trends. The recommendation for approval is based on the information set forth in the attached Staff Assessment and Recommendation Report.

Background:
CATCH Prep Charter High, Inc. is a 9-12 high school currently serving 120 students on a District site at 4120 11th Avenue, Los Angeles, CA, 90008 in Board District 1 and Region South. CATCH Prep Charter High, Inc. was originally approved by the LAUSD Board of Education on April 11, 2003. On December 5, 2017, the charter school was renewed for a five-year term to serve 600 students in grades 9-12. Pursuant to Education Code section 47607.4, all charter schools whose term expires on or between January 1, 2022, and June 30, 2025, inclusive, shall have their term extended by two years, and all charter schools whose term expires on or between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2027, inclusive, shall have their term extended by one additional year.
