Approve the renewal petition for Accelerated (“Charter School”), a Start-Up Independent charter school, with benchmarks in the areas of academics (ELA for Students with Disabilities; and Math for Students with Disabilities), located in Board District 5 and Region East, for a term of five (5) years, beginning July 1, 2027, until June 30, 2032, to serve up to 737 students in grades TK-8 in each year of the charter term. The recommendation for approval is based on the information set forth in the attached Staff Assessment and Recommendation Report.

Accelerated is a TK-8 span school currently serving 753 students on a District site through a lease agreement at 4000 S. Main St., Los Angeles, CA, 90037, and a private site at 119 E. 37th St., Los Angeles, CA, 90011, in Board District 5 and Region East. Accelerated was originally approved by the LAUSD Board of Education on November 1, 1993. On January 8, 2019, the charter school was renewed for a five-year term to serve 737 students in grades TK-8. Pursuant to Education Code section 47607.4, all charter schools whose term expires on or between January 1, 2022, and June 30, 2025, inclusive, shall have their term extended by two years, and all charter schools whose term expires on or between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2027, inclusive, shall have ...
